Do you know someone who has made a difference in the Animal Kingdom? Maybe it’s the lady across the street who takes care of feral cat colonies. Maybe it’s a vet who is especially dedicated to his job. Maybe it’s not even a person. Maybe there’s a business who has made taking care of animals their priority, and they’ve done a bang-up job of it.
No matter what their involvement is, they deserve a little recognition for being so awesome. Hence the “Making a Difference Contest.” From now through November 15th, submit your ideal candidate (be it a person or company) here or through our Facebook page via a private message. Include the name, address, some and a phone number and/or email address for them, as well as what they do for animals/why you think they deserve to win.
What are the prizes? Glad you asked! The contest is sponsored by Aunt Laurie’s, a local company that works with the disabled to handcraft beautiful, unique gift baskets, and a couple of their gift baskets will be among the prizes. The winners can also look forward to some nifty Tails of the Lowcountry T-shirts, designed right here in our office and printed by Big D’s Royal Tees. Gift cards from The Sugaree will also be thrown into the mix.
We will announce the winners of the contest at the end of November via Facebook, and the grand-prize winner will also be featured in our December/January edition of Tails of the Lowcountry.
Someone is making the animals’ world a little brighter. Help us make that person’s world a little brighter, too.
